Just want to bring to your attention the Guys Lit Wire & Operation Teen Book
Drop Event for Navajo & Apache Teens. This
book drive, run through Powells.com for the next two weeks, provides books from
school wishlists to libraries at a K-8 school and a high school on reservations
in New Mexico and Arizona. In communities where the school librarians report
that the children do not have access to new books, just think about the impact
of providing a desired book or two! A small donation can have a large impact.
I think about how many people I’ve told to
read The Hunger Games, and figure that this is a great chance to pass on the
joy on a larger scale.
